May 4th Reunion of ARHRF Bike riders and intro for next year . Final funds raised for Research $1640 from our club and many thanks to friends at the Emerald Primary School and the CSIRO Staff Association for their Generous support !
March 8th - What a wonderful spread that Phil & Magda put on for Club dinner at Yackandandah !
The funds raised were enough to purchase 12 Wheelchairs for KIDS !

2/3/08 The Bike Ride to conference starts this morning -
over $1100 in pledges and donations to the Australian Rotary Health Research Fund have been received so far
27/2/08 More than 140 interested people in addition to about 50 Rotarians participate in the Mental Health Forum at the Knox Civic Centre.
26/2/08 Jonh Ritchie talks about the ARHRF pointing out that Emerald has contributed more than $18,000 over the years.
17/2/08 over 600 magnificent display cars at the All American Car Display and Swap Meet - proceeds to local charities- a great day !

December 14th: Formal handover ceremony at Southern Health Clayton of the proceeds of the Kids Fun Run with Thomas.
Emerald Rotary in conjunction with the Variety Club present a cheque for $60,000.00 to improve childrens services for our region.
December Emerald Rotary commits again to be major sponsors ($1000) of Carols By Candelight at the Worrell oval on Friday the 14th
December 11th Les Smith Memorial Scholarships totaling $650 awarded at Emerald Secondary College Presentation Night
November Citzenship awards of Citizen Watches presented to Emerald Secondary School Students at the Year 12 Valedictory Dinner
Applications for the popular Annual Debutante Ball are quickly filling . With a new venue ( The Grand on Cathies Lane ) and a Saturday date the 24th of May 2008 we are looking forward to an even more enjoyable and successful event
November 27th Emerald Rotary agrees to provide $500 for 50% funding of a new student leaders support program at Emerald Secondary College in 2008
November 20th Our $2400 donation for 2 shelterboxes to be used to help Cyclone and Flood victims in Bangladesh
November 17th a large team of Emerald Rotary volunteers prepares more than 400 meals at the Camp Quality picnic for Kids effected by Cancer - A great day was had by all at the xxx minature Railway Park
November 13th and we welcome Darrelyn Boucher Principal of Cockatoo Primary School to talk about the exchange program with Ramingining in Arnhemland. $500 is donated to support the exchange program and another $500 for a scholarship for an indiginous student to come and study for a longer period at Cockatoo P.S.
October 21st Tom Baldock a promising science student from Beacon Hills College is sponsored to attend the Siemens Science Experience Summer School at Monash University on 16th-18th of January
October 14th Agreement is reached with Cardinia council and Emerald Rotary to contribute $8000 for BBQ facilities at the Rotary / Puffing Billy Park in Kilvington Drive
October 7th Its another highly successful Kids Fun Run with Thomas and Emerald Rotary with the support of the Variety Club is able to donate $60,000 to Southern Health Care for improved childrens services , especially in the cancer area
